SHIFT PSYCHOLOGICAL DESIGN CONCEPTShift Psychological is a disruptor in the mental health industry. They break down barriers to effect change, so when asked to come up with a design concept to be used at all of their locations, we wanted to expand our creativity to effectively represent their brand and culture.
The concept for Shift was simple - loud and proud. If you want to break a stigma, you have to make some noise about it. We wanted a simple design but did not want a traditional clinical feel. Cue the neon signage. |

While all of these options are bold, we felt the black with white lettering was the slap in the face that was necessary for the project.

During the schematic design phase we go through a lot of iterations of design to determine which concept best reflects the brand and the overall theme of the project.
While all of these options are bold, we felt the black with white writing was the slap in the face that was necessary for the project. Using only two materials, drywall and MDF, we used depth, proportion, and colour to create a dynamic space. |
